100 Thieves has officially signed Chet “ImAPet” Singh

100 Thieves has officially signed Chet “ImAPet” Singh as its new head coach for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). Chet has been coaching since 2016 when he first joined Counter Logic Gaming. Since then Chet has coached for major organizations such as Optic Gaming, NRG Esports, and Evil Geniuses.

Some of his more notable performances include helping NRG finish first at Intel Extreme Masters XIII – Shanghai, and 3rd/4th at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. Recently, he helped Evil Geniuses take down Astralis and finish first at ESL One: New York 2019 shortly after Berlin. From there he continued to help Evil Geniuses succeed as a CSGO team. While coaching EG, Chet earned the organization over $540,000 in prize money with multiple first-place finishes.

100 Thieves moving forward

100 Thieves recently parted ways with Aleksandar “Kassad” Trifunovic who had been coaching the players since they were on Renegades back in 2018. The move was a surprising one, but most fans agreed that there needed to be a change. Kassad released a statement on Twitter regarding why he and 100 Thieves had parted ways, stating “we have been drifting apart in more ways than one for a while now” but that there is absolutely no “bad blood” between them.

The team’s CSGO roster has been going downhill after finishing 2nd at Intel Extreme Masters XIV – Beijing. Since then the team has barely been able to finish above 5th at any tournament and been knocked down by lower teams.
